If you are coming from the West, eg Bristol , or Somerset , you need to take the M5 as far as the Stroud turn off, follow the signs into Stroud, then follow directions from Stroud below.

From Bath, follow the A46 to Stroud and follow directions from Stroud below. Or come via M4 and follow directions from Bristol .
From Cheltenham , drive to Birdlip, then follow directions below.
From Birdlip, take a left turn off the main street which is the road to Slad and Stroud. Follow for a few miles, drive past the Painswick turn off and Bulls Cross sign, continuing to Slad. Our lane (no road name) is before the main village centre. There will be the village sign and two 30 mile signs. At the second of these, there is a war memorial on your left, and our lane (no road name) is a sharp right turn up the hill opposite the bus stop and war memorial. If you miss it and get as far as The Woolpack and the church you have gone too far. Ours is the last house at the top of the hill on the right, just before Frith Wood.
From Stroud: On entering Stroud from the M5 you will see the Stroud and Swindon
building society opposite you, and then turn left here. If coming from Bath Road
you will go straight on at a large-
If coming from London, Cirencester or Swindon via Stroud rather than Birdlip, take a right turn at the roundabout in Stroud, the Stroud and Swindon building society is on your right. Carry straight on along the same road
Then for all routes via Stroud, follow the road under the bridge and past the multi storey car park and Apollo cinema on your right. You will then reach a mini roundabout.
Take the second turn, signed to Slad and Uplands (4070). Follow that road out of Stroud and for a couple of miles or so. It's quite winding.
Once you come into Slad look for The Woolpack pub on your right and The Old Chapel Bed and Breakfast on your left. Then after that you know to take the first sharp left turn, opposite the bus stop and war memorial (no road name). This small road bends back a little on itself and takes you up a hill. Our house is the last on the right, it’s a cream house with a sun terrace facing the road. Turn into the drive and park and come up the steps to the front door.
